Hi! I'm Lauren - the heart behind Reum Bay. 

Home has always been my favourite place to be - it's my haven, my calm, my creative playground. Ever since I was little, I've had a love for all things home decor. What started as a passion for styling my own space, creating cosy corners, collecting different trinkets and feeling the energy of the room, soon turned into a dream to share that joy with others. 

I created Reum Bay to offer beautiful, thoughtfully made pieces that not only elevate your home but also feel good to bring into it. Quality, elegance, and a touch of simplicity are at the core of every product I design. From cosy textures, to timeless accents, everything is made with love - and always packaged carefully in our eco friendly materials that still deliver that special, child-at-Christmas feeling when you open your parcel. This brand is a reflection of me - a true homebody who believes your space should tell a story and feel like you. I hope Reum Bay inspires you to add those simple, meaningful touches to your home and make it truly yours. 

At Reum Bay, we believe in the power of understated elegance and timeless design. Our brand is founded on the principles of minimalism, sustainability, and effortless style, offering a collection of home decor and lifestyle essentials that elevate your space. I want to bring quality decor to the market, that is chic and minimal, unique and handcrafted, made from high quality materials and eco friendly alternatives. I want to show you how to style our products, and help you create those beautiful spaces in your home too.

All of our candles and decor pieces are handcrafted in our studio in Kilkenny, Ireland. Our candles are hand poured using 100% soy wax. Soy wax is considered a sustainable choice for candles. It is made from soybeans, a renewable resource, and is biodegradable. Soy wax also burns cleaner than traditional paraffin wax, producing less soot and potentially harmful chemicals. Our wax is sourced in Ireland, as we love to support other Irish businesses where we can.

Our decor pieces are handcrafted using jesmonite, an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative. Jesmonite is a composite material made by mixing a gypsum-based powder with a water-based acrylic resin. It's characterised by it's low environmental impact, non-toxic properties, and ability to be reused, making it a popular choice for artists, designers, and builders seeking sustainable options. The manufacturing process is designed for low energy consumption, and it's durability contributes to a smaller carbon footprint. 

We want to offer beautiful packaging, but being fully intentional in everything that we do. We are dedicated in minimising our impact on the environment by using sustainable packaging materials. From biodegradable packing peanuts to recyclable packaging paper, reusable cloth bags and cardboard shipping boxes. Our packaging is as adorable as it is eco-friendly, providing a delightful unboxing experience while prioritizing the health of our planet. With every package, we’re making a statement: sustainability can be stylish.

My vision for Reum Bay is to continue to offer beautiful pieces for your home, to elevate your space, while offering useful home tips and knowledge for you to fully utilise in your home.
