Hi lovelies! I’m Lauren, the owner of Reum Bay. I'm from Ireland but I run my home and lifestyle business in Brussels, Belgium. I live in the city, but i'm a country girl at heart. I would consider myself a big home enthusiast. I’m at my happiest when I’m at home. I have always had a love for creativity, and in my spare time I'm doing anything that would inspire that creative spark in me. I love all things interior design and I spend most of my time creating beautiful spaces within my home. From styling new home décor pieces, to beauties that I’ve thrifted or done a DIY job on.

Even from a young age, you would find me at 1am in the morning, stuck behind the furniture that I was moving around my bedroom. It was time for a switch up, and my designing usually happened late at night. I must have changed it up at least four times a year. I love each and every space for their unique feel and purpose. It makes my heart happy and content. I’m a huge lover of the neutral palette, as you can tell from my aesthetic! I think it’s a great base layer to then add splashes of colour, or pair with textures etc. and it goes with almost everything. Feel like switching it up? No problem! Seasonal décor, I’m here for it. It's simple and muted, yet elegant and serene.

Inspired by the serene beauty of nature, I have always loved the look of raw materials, rustic woods, rough stone, and textured clay pots. I love to bring the outdoors in and spread potted plants, flowers, and herbs around my home. Played around with different textures of wood, stone, and textiles such as linen. All while choosing earthy colour tones to blend into my home seamlessly. I aspire to incorporate more of nature’s exquisite raw materials into my projects, drawing inspiration directly from the beauty and diversity found in the world.

I’ve worked in hospitality most of my working life. Bars and restaurants along my travels. It was fun, and I was good at it, I sure could shake you up a delicious cocktail, but I was burnt out. Both physically and mentally. I wanted something more, something that would make me so passionate, and be creative again, something of my own that I could work towards. So, I thought of what I enjoyed doing the most and what I was good at, decided to take a leap of faith and Reum Bay was born!

I want to show you how to style our products, and help you create those beautiful spaces in your home too. 

We want to continue to offer beautiful packaging, but being fully intentional in everything that we do. We are dedicated in minimising our impact on the environment by using sustainable packaging materials. From biodegradable packing peanuts to recyclable packaging paper and shipping boxes. Our packaging is as adorable as it is eco-friendly, providing a delightful unboxing experience while prioritizing the health of our planet. With every package, we’re making a statement: sustainability can be stylish.

My vision for Reum Bay is to continue to offer beautiful pieces for your home, to elevate your space, while offering useful home tips and knowledge for you to fully utilise in your home.
